Mahatma Gandhi School (MGS) Jalan Tabing is committed to providing high-quality international education that equips our students with the knowledge, skills, and values needed to thrive in an ever-changing world.

Located in a safe and accessible area, our school serves students from Kindergarten through Grade 12, offering a range of academic pathways that cater to diverse learning needs and aspirations. We are proud to combine strong academic standards with a focus on character development, resilience, and global citizenship.

Early Years & Primary Education

Our TK section is working towards becoming a Cambridge Early Learning Centre, ensuring that our youngest learners benefit from a stimulating, inquiry-based environment that builds strong foundations in literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional skills.

In our Primary School, we now offer Full English Programmes for Grades 1 and 2, with the goal of expanding to a full Cambridge Primary Programme across the section. This will give our students a seamless transition into the Cambridge Lower Secondary curriculum.

Lower Secondary & Upper Secondary

From Grades 7 to 8, our students follow the Cambridge Lower Secondary framework, which develops a broad academic base and critical thinking skills.

In Grades 9 and 10, students enter Cambridge Upper Secondary, preparing for the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) examinations. The IGCSE programme offers a balanced selection of subjects, allowing students to explore their interests and strengths while building a strong foundation for further study.

Cambridge Advanced (Grades 11–12)

For our Cambridge Advanced stage, students in Grades 11 and 12 undertake AS and A Levels, internationally recognised qualifications that open doors to top universities worldwide. These courses allow for subject specialisation and the development of independent learning skills essential for higher education.

CBSE-Equivalent Pathway

Mahatma Gandhi School Jalan Tabing is also affiliated with Gandhi Memorial Intercontinental School Jakarta and the Board of Secondary Education Indian Schools Indonesia, which is equivalent to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE – India) and associated with the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). Through this affiliation, the following examinations are conducted:
